Oh I am such a clutz. I just fell on my bum. I was crouched down peering into the depths of the back of the fridge. I was going for the pasty, but got slightly sidetracked by an open packet of salami... I LOVE salami So I grab a slice in one hand and took it on it's journey to my mouth while still getting the pasty. I got the salami to my mouth! But overbalance and landed on my bum... minus pasty... the pasty landed on the floor - whoops!

*looks embaressed* I'm always doing silly stuff like that

*skips her way downstairs for a refreshing glass of slightly odd tasting Devonshire water*

*giggles* I shouldn't laugh, but god that sounds about how I am. My hubby even teases me about being one of the least graceful people he knows. It's true! I can trip over my own feet (and do with distressing regularity). Or run into walls, or furniture or people. It's like I don't have proper depth perception or something. *grin* He just does his best to keep me from severely injuring myself, and pets me when I succeed despite him.

Richard has said exactly the same things about me xD Seriously the number of times I've fallen over on him... or in more *blushes* embaressing curcumstance... *shakes head* I need like a suit of bubble wrap to keep me safe!

2 questions:
1. why are you down south?
2. when are you coming back?

put on lots of weight, then you'll have a built-in cushion

I never said it hurt! *points to bum* looks like a pretty good cushion already.

1. :( looking after my sickly granny and taking a break from the stressful city
2. *shrugs* I'll let you know though

Silly question:

After repeated past attempts at research, I still can't quite figure out the difference between a pasty and a pastry. Help a foolish Yank, please? *hides under desk in embarrassment*

awww *pets* here dear this is a pasty:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornish_pasty

basically pastry filled with meat, potatoe, carrot ... or you know, other stuff :-P I had an odd lamb and stilon pasty years ago... it was most strange.

I'm like, so very English. I'm always confusing people with odd slang and terms

Oh, so a pasty is a meat-filled type of pastry and a plain old pastry is filled with sweets like you'd typically think of a pastry from a dessert bakery? I just get confused because my mind wants to lump pasties in with pastries and call all of them pastries because I always think of a pasty as a type of pastry and am baffled by the fact that there are two different names. LOL XD

I first saw the word "pasty" in Harry Potter and though for the longest time that it was "pastry" misspelled.

Pasties sound really delicious. Now I'm hungry, as I haven't eaten yet today.

Oh god that's totally something I'd do! lol

It happened to a friend of mine only she was on a ledge at the time so she went crashing down onto her back. She was okay though, she's such a klutz it's like her body must prepare itself or something bahaha. She was always on crutches or in plaster. @_@
