Every day this week post links to 5 songs you like, along with what you think about the song, so your f-list can comment on whether they agree or not. This is also a great way to be introduced to new music you may not have heard otherwise.

1. Slipknot - Vermilion pt. 2
If all you know of Slipknot is their heavy drums and screaming then I suggest you click this because you will not believe this is by them. This song is haunting and beautiful. To me this song is about confused and lost in love but not letting it bring me down.

2. Fightstar - Amaze Us
I keep reccing this song to anyone who'll listen at the moment and now is no exception! This song just make me feel hopeful, so much hope. Hope is a very important thing for me. I am eargerly awaiting the bands new album as they just keep going from strength to strength, it seems I always have a new favourite song of theirs!

3. Placebo - Meds
I couldn't do this meme and not include a Placebo song. Surpiringly picking one of their later songs here but as soon as I heard it struck a cord in me. This is a song I put on as loud as possible when my mum goes off on one (fyi. my mum has been on varius anti-depressants/anti-anxiety meds since I was about 6 years old) It lets me get out my anger at her when I sing along to the lyrics (another reason to play it loud, my singing is bad XD)

4. Tokio Hotel - 1000 Meere/1000 Oceans
Yes I am linking to both the English and German versions as I seriously love them both. A song about never giving up, never losing hope, do I really need to say much more? A song I play when I need to remember these things.

5. HIM - Gone With The Sin
A very slow song by HIM, with lot's of Ville's lovely low notes (seriously his low notes give me the shivers). A beautiful song about the beauty being our bad bits too. I play it when I feel like my head is slipping away into the aether and I want to feel loved.

I am back in England now, it's raining... oh yes, its good to be home :-P

My flight back was ok. Well except that I got a completely different flight ... *headdesk* I was in my second queue at Detroit airport when I was told that they had change my flight to a direct flight straight from Detroit to London Gatwick. at that time I had about a 8 and a half hour wait ahead of me. The reason for changing? Newark/New York airspace was a mess and I'd never be able to catch my connection... fair enough then.

Now here we have my strange odd luck. 1twistedsister emailed me that morning... asking what time I was going to be at the airport as she was changing there on her way to her dads. So I told her and by those times we would have missed each other. However, I now had almost all the time in the world so I managed to work out what flight she was on, which gate it was coming into (luckily in the same terminal as mine!) and that it was an hour late.

So... did I find her? I must admit I almost gave up, but she appeared eventually, having been sat at the back of the plane it took her a while. We spent two hours together and had some food at the airport! Small world!

Okay lookie here I'm remembering to post! I've been totally drained with all the Silent Solidarity work and now thats over I've just been vegging and lazy for the last couple of days. My eyes have recovered but I've not managed to open up photoshop again yet XD

I got a wonderful package from Mel (4am_secret)in the post today *bounces* thanks love!

Mum came back from Belgium today and totally off her rocker as she didn't take her mood pill things with her.... *hides in room*

I bought these lovely hair bands with stars on yesterday and some photoalbums today. I need to tidy my room and do everything I was meant to do on my week off in two days XD lol.

Oh and lookie, th have their first hating secret on fandomsecrets... does that mean they've made it yet? XP
